Farm Animal
spacer As with companion animals, we offer a 24 hour service, 365 days a year to our farm clients.
Wherever possible, we ask that you contact the surgery before 9 am to arrange a visit for that day. This will help us to keep the cost of our visits down and see your animal sooner if we can group calls together, rather than travel to and from the surgery to the same area on several occasions!

If you would like to bring an animal to the surgery (usually sheep or calves) to be examined, please phone first to arrange a time that there will be a vet available to do this.

Medicines: We are permitted by law to sell POM's (Prescription Only Medicines) only to bona fide client's of the practice. Furthermore, we are only allowed to sell our clients medicines for 'animals under our care'.
The interpretation of this is legally accepted to mean that we should have visited the farm no more than 3 months previously or have examined the animal the medicine is intended for.

We ask that you order any medicines you require, by phone or fax, in advance, so that our staff can label your order appropriately and complete the paperwork that we are again, legally obliged to do.
A vet will authorise your order and you will be asked to countersign on collection. We hold a large of medicines in our pharmacy and can have most orders not in stock within 24 hours.
